ABOUT ME
I’ve been working in the alcohol field for eighteen years and as an independent consultant since 2009. I was a member of the team that founded Dry January and I’ve worked on every campaign since the first.
In 2018, I was asked to write the official Dry January book, “Try Dry, the official guide to a month off booze”. Today, as always, my focus is on reducing alcohol-related harm to individuals, families, workplaces and communities.

I believe that a well-trained and supported workforce is better equipped to help clients to recover well and live their best lives. I’m a passionate advocate for services that support those least able to advocate for themselves, including people with alcohol related brain damage and their families.
I’ve consulted with hundreds of organisations throughout the UK from the private, public and charity sectors to develop effective policies and practices that tackle the impact of alcohol on the workplace. Clients include British Telecom, Oracle, Eversheds Sutherland, Allianz and more.
My consultancy is founded on evidence based practice and my training is interactive and eclectic. Please send me an email if you’d like to find out how I can help your business or your practitioners to feel skilled and confident in responding to alcohol issues.
I can be commissioned independently or through the charities Adfam, Alcohol Change UK or through Mosaic Training.
